TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - A man arrested in July was sentenced to two years in prison on the charge of possession of a firearm by a felon on Tuesday, according to the Tehama County District Attorney’s Office.

David Talley, 51, of Orland, was pulled over by Tehama County deputies on July 22 in the Orland area.

Talley was determined to be wanted on a warrant and was a convicted felon.

When deputies searched his car, they found an AR-15-style rifle with multiple high-capacity magazines, a loaded 9 mm pistol, ammunition, law enforcement-style body armor and a large amount of cash.

Due to his status as a convicted felon, he legally could not have guns.
